"Perhaps the genius of ultrarunning is its supreme lack of utility. It makes no sense in a world of space ships and supercomputers to run vast distances on foot. There is no money in it and no fame, frequently not even the approval of peers. But as poets, apostles and philosophers have insisted from the dawn of time, there is more to life than logic and common sense."

Telluride to Oscar's Pass on the Hardrock Course

There's a beautiful section of trail up to Oscar's Pass from Telluride. Starts out on a gentle road (Telluride Bear Creek Rd) and then links up with the singletrack Wasatch Trail about 2 miles up. 6.5 miles up and +4390' took 2:15 and I came back down in 1:15 including a lot of video!

Here are some of my favorite videos from the day...

Lots more on YouTube if you want to see...

Weez - these are great. Takes me back to when Meredith and I spent a week in Telluride a few summers back. We hiked Bear Creek and Wasatch a few times with stops at Baked in Telluride b/f and after. Looks like an amazing adventure your on. Keep the posts coming and kick it at Hardrock. Skwryl
